Protective Use of Visual Surveillance Systems Training

In April, Trident Manor Training Academy (TMTA) was contacted by an educational institute to deliver a training programme to support the CCTV operations team.

Based on this request, the team visited the venue last week to deliver our Protective Use of Visual Surveillance Systems (VSS). This programme is delivered to benefit staff who have experience as a CCTV operators and are looking to refresh their knowledge and skills to ensure they understand current threats to their organisation.

Delegates are taught the importance of proactive prevention rather than reactive response. Being proactive whilst addressing potential threats prevents them from escalating into dangerous and damaging incidents to the organisation.

This programme includes the following elements:

  • Relevant Legislation
  • Understanding the Threats
  • The Attack Cycle
  • Situational Awareness
  • Behavioural Analysis
  • Surveillance Detection
  • Operational Procedures
  • Exercise – ‘Dodgy Geeza’

The feedback we have received has been excellent with comments including “Really engaging presentation and very well presented, not long-winded and straight to the point.’ We are confident that those who attended have refreshed knowledge of their role and their responsibilities when it comes to using VSS.
