First Aid at Work – (RQF) QA Level 3

The programme is delivered over 3 days, and learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of medical situations, including assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. As a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees in the knowledge that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing professional first aid training of the highest quality.

This QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a nationally recognised, Ofqual Regulated Qualifications accredited by Qualsafe Awards.

Emergency First Aid at Work – (RQF) QA Level 3

Our QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work to provide first aid in a range of emergency medical situations. It is also ideal for people who have responsibilities to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

It is now a regulatory requirement for frontline licensable activities within the United Kingdom Security Industry.

This Award is completed in 1 day and learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Paediatric First Aid (RQF) QA Level 3

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular benefit to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel, and anyone else who has responsibility for a child’s wellbeing. Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) QA Level 3

The level 3 paediatric first aid training course covers the role of the paediatric first aider and first aid procedures in-depth, ideal for teaching professionals, paediatric nurses, parents and childminders.

This course is an accredited qualification for those who work with children and have first aid responsibilities, designed to provide learners with the essential skills, confidence and knowledge to deal with a range of accidents, injuries and illnesses. It also includes expert guidance and advice on how to create a solid action plan for an emergency situation.

The programme takes the delegates through a range of life saving activities or paediatric medical emergencies such as:

CPR
Burns and scalds
Loss of consciousness

Shock
Broken bones and fractures
Contacting the emergency services.

QA Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (RQF)

This regulated, and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed to safely perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

The qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide first aid and/or use an AED in an emergency.

During this half-day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to administer effective CPR and use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation. Topics covered include CPR, choking, safe use of an AED, using an AED on a child, AED maintenance and more.
