A workshop aimed at providing personal safety and security guidance, advice, and knowledge that helps reduce the risks faced by people.
This well-established programme, CPD certified, has been delivered nationally and internationally to over 300 delegates. It is especially beneficial where staff are at an increased risk of violence, threats and intimidation. The programme centres around conflict identification and avoidance instead of conflict management which is viewed as missing the opportunity to stay safe. Organisations sending staff to this workshop can be confident they are giving staff valuable personal security skills whilst demonstrating a proactive approach to their duty of care obligations.
it is hoped that the knowledge, advice, and guidance that is shared will help increase levels of awareness of the threats and vulnerabilities that exist, and the proactive actions that everybody can take to reduce the likelihood of them becoming victims.
The event will discuss the following:
- How attacks happen and the different stages.
- Situational awareness and its importance to personal safety and security.
- Sensible risk reduction approaches.
- Q&A session.
At the end of the workshop, it is hoped that individuals will have gained a new, or refreshed, understanding of the proactive steps that they can take to protect themselves, friends and the wider community.
